Up & Over Garage Doors

These are often the most economical way to provide a garage door, they are made in standard sizes but there are also many options to the standard sizes.

They can be fitted either behind the reveals (the walls to either side of the door opening) or betweeen the reveals. it is possible to replace a door and frame from as little as £550 including VAT and fitting.

There are two types of "UP AND OVER" doors, these are known in the trade as "CANOPY" and "RETRACTABLE".

The canopy door forms a sort of canopy as half of the door sticks out of the garage when it is opened, these are not normally fitted to openings greater than 9ft width, where as the retractable door slides right back into the garage when it is opened.

It is easier to fit an automatic opener to a retractable door than a canopy door, and these are the most economical type of garage door, however if you are fitting a garage door to an opening that is not a standard size they can be expensive if made to measure where you may want to consider a roller garage door this of course all depends on a number of things, if you are unsure about which type of door would be best for you then please do not hesitate to call us on 01588 640965 .

Both of these garage doors can be supplied in Steel, Wood, GRP and Fiberglass, there are many different manufacturers of these types of doors and we usually supply these doors with a new frame.
